Site search is a search engine that focuses entirely on a single website. Site search can be used as a primary navigation tool. What is NLP?
NLP (Natural Language Processing) is a subfield of artificial intelligence and linguistics. It studies the problems inherent in the processing and manipulation of natural language. natural language understanding devoted to making computers "understand" statements written, or spoken in human languages. Celebros NLP site search can understand sentence patterns such as expressions related to price or product, i.e. shirts under $20.

What is search conversion rate?
Your conversion rate is the percentage of visitors with search that complete a sale out of the total number of visitors. So if you have 100 visitors search on your site and 50 of those visitors buy something, then your conversion rate is 50 percent.

What is the pricing? Low, medium, and high ends?
The pricing is determined by multiple factors, such as number of products, number of attributes, monthly searches, number of languages, complexity of requirements, and range of Celebros solutions/features. The monthly pricing varies between $400 and a few thousands.
Does the Celebros search have a learning capability?
Yes, it does have Machine Learning capability, demonstrated by ranking products in such a way that increases the conversion rate of each individual search term.
Which features separates Celebros from its competition?

My products data is pretty unorganized, can Celebros still work with it?
Celebros can take an unstructured data feed and improve the quality of the products data and also build a structured category tree utilizing keywords, synonyms and mapping rules.
Which languages are supported?

What is AutoSuggest?
The AutoSuggest is recommending or suggesting the matching products to your customers search terms as they type.
Can Celebros search through categories?
Yes, Celebros Natural Language Search understands broad product types like "furniture" as referring to any item in the furniture family ("cupboard", "bed", etc.).
Does the Celebros search support attribute conjunction/disjunction?
Yes. A "black and white dress" must be both black and white. Likewise, a "black or white dress" means a dress that is either solid black or solid white.
Does Celebros support negations?
Yes. Words like "no", "without" or "-less" are part of Celebros’ NLP algorithm. Celebros enables matching results for queries such as "jackets without hoodies", “sleeveless shirts”, or “shoes with high heels”.
Does Celebros support product type inferences?
Shoppers sometimes search for an item without explicitly writing its type. Celebros knows that "Android 6 inch" means an Android phone with a 6-inch screen.
Does Celebros support compatibility search terms?
Shoppers sometimes look for products that are compatible with another product, like "iphone 8 charger". Celebros search understands that the shopper is looking for a charger that is suitable for a smartphone, specifically an iPhone 8.
Does Celebros NLP search understand utilizations?
Shoppers sometimes search for products that are suitable for an occasion or a person. Celebros understands that a "chairs for dining table" is a chair that is suitable for dining tables (and does not return actual dining tables!).
Does Celebros NLP search understand components?
Celebros can differentiate between products, their components and their associated attributes, which enables the full and accurate interpretation of queries such as "long sleeve short dress".
Does Celebros return accurate results for measurements?
Celebros understands dimensions and sizes. This includes ranges ("baby clothes 1-6 months"), inferences for dimensions ("35×50 couch" refers to depth×width) and inferences for units of measurement (the unit in "women running shoes 7" is UK shoe sizing 7, US size 7.5 and EU size 40-41).
Does Celebros automatically correct misspellings and typos?
Our spellchecker is custom made for eCommerce search and is automatically correcting misspellings, typos, letter switches, and grammatical errors. We identify and correct errors that are frequent and unique for online shops, including brand names, product models, collections and more.
How long does it take to integrate Celebros into my online shop?
The Celebros search can be integrated using our JavaScript search results UI templates. The integration can be done within a few hours.
I want to use Celebros search, but don't have the technical knowledge. What do I do?
If you don't have a solution integrator, we can help you with either recommending you one of our integration partners.
Does Celebros crawl my product catalog?
Celebros is using the product data feed in a csv, txt or xml format. Crawling is not necessary for Celebros in order to get the data feed.
Can Celebros search through articles and other content on my search page?

Which eCommerce platforms does Celebros work with?

Does Celebros support search query assistance?
Celebros provides self-learning AutoComplete and AutoSuggest features which return query suggestions and instant search result suggestions with each letter typed into the search box.
The search queries are being collected automatically from your shop’s online users and the most relevant ones are being shown in the AutoComplete feature based on a self-learning algorithm.
Technical
What is the speed of the Celebros search?
The Celebros search engine stores all results in RAM, which enables a response time of 0.05 seconds or less. The TTFB (Time-To-First-Byte) of the XML result is generally below 0.2 seconds.
Is there a SKU limit for my data?
So far, we haven’t reached a limit on the number of products through which Celebros can search. We have experience with searching through hundreds of thousands of products, including thousands of attributes.
What is a Hybrid Cloud Integration?
Hybrid Cloud integration removes the reliance on third-party hosting and servers, as well as the general lack of control found with SaaS integrations by using a hybrid of on-premise and cloud-based services. Click here for more information on Hybrid Integrations.
Are you able to download products from a category or upload products into a category?
Yes, the products per category or attribute can be exported into either csv, txt or excel files.
Do you have tools built and ready for Shopify, Magento, or BigCommerce?
We do have extensions for Magento, Shopify, SAP Hybris, and OXID. Additionally, the Celebros search can be easily integrated via simple JavaScript snippets into BigCommerce and any other shop platform.
Does the tool support facets? What's the facet limit?
Yes, it does support standardized and custom built facets (also called refinements or filters). They can be configured to be automated in terms of relevancy or controlled manually. We can process catalogs with thousands of attributes.
What are the main search algorithm options?
The Celebros search algorithm can be configured to three search logics: High Precision, High Recall and Full Textual. For a more detailed information about each of these basic settings, contact your personal Success Manager.
Can Celebros search through structured and unstructured contents?
Yes, the Celebros search algorithm can search through both clean and structured or free-style and unstructured content. Additionally, Celebros has the ability to improve the quality of your product catalog.
How does the search get updated with new products data?
The data feed is generally being exported to a Celebros-provided secure FTP location via a push process. We can also download your product data from any location. The data feed is being updated automatically on a regular basis and no crawling is needed to get the content information.
How are the search results going to be displayed on my website?
The results can be either connected to the online shop’s current search results page, where the look and feel of the search results page can be freely changed by its own technical team. Alternatively, Celebros can provide a number of UI templates which are ajax-based and fully responsive to automatically adjust to mobile and tablet screen sizes. All Celebros UI templates are modern and can be styled to match the look and feel of your online shop.
What is the limitation to catalogue size?
So far we haven’t reached the max limit, but have experience with hundreds of thousands of products. The search can be scaled dynamically as the catalogue size increases.
How many queries per second can it answer?
Per search server, around 150 queries can be answered per second. However, multiple search servers are connected to a single load balancer, which enables thousands of queries per second.
Can Celebros search within internal sites and CMS pages?
Yes, Celebros can search and display results for any CMS pages, blogs, reviews and other textual pages.
Can Celebros differentiate between bundles and single products?
We sometimes buy combinations of individual items that are sold as one product - like "bedroom sets". Celebros knows when a shopper is looking for a product bundle in explicit queries ("bedroom set") as well as implicit ones ("bedroom closet, bed and night stands").
Does Celebros offer an API for integrating the search?
Yes. The Celebros search API is freely available and can be used to integrate the search results into any shop platform, including mobile apps.
Merchandising
What is a Dynamic Merchandising Engine?
The merchandising engine is a part of the Celebros Studio, the web-based search management admin. The Merchandising Engine allows you to promote products to the top of a particular search result, as well as create banners, category promotions, alternative products and redirect campaigns. What is the difference between queries and fallbacks in the studio?
Queries show you the most frequently searched terms on your site. The fallbacks show which terms were searched, but did not result in matching products. For more information on queries and fallbacks please contact your personal Success Manager.
How do I access the Celebros Studio (Back-office)?

What is a Campaign?
A Merchandising Campaign allows you to attach merchandising elements, such as banner images and landing pages, to specific search terms. Please click here for more information on campaigns.
What is a Virtual Category?
Virtual Categories allow you to effortlessly create powerful and effective dynamic landing pages without the need to add or change a single line of code. Virtual Categories can be used for all kinds of marketing purposes, including Google AdWords, newsletters, homepage banner links, and more.
Are you able to pin or hold promotional products at the top of specific pages?
Yes. With the Celebros Merchandising feature, you are able to pin products to the top of any search result
How do I add a banner image campaign?

What is a global product rank priority?
A global priority allows you to use specific criteria to give a higher priority to specific products so they will show higher in the product order. For example, if you have a list of best sellers you can use a global priority to push those products to the top of the list. To implement a global priority please contact your Success Manager.
Are you able to choose which refinement facets are visible in specific categories? Are you able to make facets show conditionally?
Yes. With the Celebros Scope Editor we are able to control which filter options should or shouldn’t be shown for specific search concepts.
What sort options are available out-of-the-box?
Standard sort options include, relevancy, name and price (ascending and descending). Additional sort options are configurable such as sort by, new arrival, rating, availability, etc.
Are we able to create new sort options on the fly?
Yes. Celebros search results can be sorted by any data you want.
How does Celebros handle Merchandising rules?
The Celebros Studio offers multiple merchandising features, including product pinning, category promotions, attribute promotions, product banner, custom messages, various ranking and sorting options, and more.
Do synonyms work across multiple terms?
Yes. Synonyms are being added on a concept level, meaning, if “Laptop” is a synonym for “Notebooks”, then both terms are interchangeable for either, i.e. “Dell Laptops” or “Dell Notebooks”.
Can I influence the product ranking / product order?
Each of the search logics can be tuned either on the global level, category level, and product level.

What is Instant Search?
Instant Search returns search results along with refinements as you type. Instant Search is using the Celebros NLP search algorithm which allows the online shoppers to search for complex queries.
